Made By Marcus wasn’t always all about ice cream, believe it or not our company started out making macarons!
Because French-style macarons (those colourful, delicate meringue sandwiches) are made with egg whites, Marcus found himself with large quantities of leftover yolks.
He decided to turn them into ice cream.
It wasn’t long before customers we’re specifically requesting his new small-batch ice cream and the macarons, naturally, took a backseat.
In 2016 Marcus opened his first ice cream shop on 17th Avenue. One short year later, he opened a second in the community of West Hillhurst, and in Summer 2019 will open the first location in Edmonton.
The rest is history!
Made By Marcus proudly uses locally sourced dairy from Vital Green Farms, and naturally grown ingredients to create a truly unique made-from-scratch ice cream; no shortcuts, mixes, preservatives or comparison.
